LOW HEAT EMISSION
Â
An ordinary conventional bulb uses up to 95% of the electricity to generate heat and only 5% for illumination. LED luminaires reach a warm temperature, and do not waste energy to create heat; hence they also do not damage adjacent materials and avoid fire hazards. This makes them suitable for industrial cooling applications because it does not dissipate heat inside the freezers.
-
LOW CONSUMPTION
Â
LED lighting consumes 80-90% less electricity than a conventional bulb with similar characteristics: 12 lm/ w for conventional bulbs and 90 lm/w for LED bulbs. This can enable you to reduce your electricity bill considerably.
-
ECOLOGICAL
Â
They do not contain Tungsten like conventional bulbs, nor Mercury as fluorescent lighting, neither incorporate heavy metals, are recyclable and comply with the European RoHS pollutant. The energy saving directly impacts our environment as a large amount of the energy we consume is produced in highly polluting areas. This coupled with the fact that having longer life represents generating less waste.
-
HEALTH
Â
In humans up to 80% of the information received from the outside world is processed by the visual pathway. Therefore, an inappropriate illumination can cause fatigue, headaches and alter our mental state as well as cause employment or domestic accidents.
-
BETTER QUALITY LIGHT
Â
LED light does not emit any ultraviolet radiation (UV), therefore they are not harmful to our health. They are also free of annoying flickering or buzzing. In this respect, LEDs provide advantages over traditional incandescent, halogen and compact fluorescent lamps.
-
WITHOUT SWITCH IMPAIRMENT
Â
The lifetime of the LED lamp is not affected by the effect of the switching, i.e. can turn on and off many times as needed without damaging it. The low energy lighting life is reduced by 50% due to this phenomenon. The low energy lighting take a few minutes to reach its peak light output, the LED lights are lit nominal labor intensity without causing surges and do not need to wait to get all the performance of the luminaire.
-
LONGER LIFETIME
Â
The LED lifetime is between 30,000 and 100,000 hours depending on the type of technology. It is up to 11 times higher when compared with the 2,000 hours of an incandescent lamp or a 10,000 low current consumption bulb.
